Experience Summary
When I was working on my master degree of accounting, I worked for the department to hold tutoring sessions for undergraduate students. I was able to use my knowledge in accounting to help students grasp the basic accounting principles, so they could tackle their homeworks and exams independently. It also saved them time spent in understanding course materials.
During my student years, I also worked in a community college teaching night classes in Chinese - my native language. I used many audio visual materials to make the teaching very interesting. Since I started the class, the enrollment increased from 10 to 15 students. My students liked my style and saying that I really helped them to learn such a difficult language.
Teaching Style
-I like to set a structure for teaching and learning activities. I like to encourage students to develop self learning skills and provide logics and basic concepts so they could become a fast learner themselves. Like the old saying, teach people how to fish will benefit their whole life.
-I can transform complex concepts into simple and easy languages to make it easier for students absorb.
-I like to use visual tools to make the learning experience more interesting.
