Experience Summary
I am a Spanish certified teacher in Oklahoma. I received a Bachelor of Law degree from the Universidade Federal da Bahia, in Bahia, Brazil. I completed my Masters in Spanish at the Universidad de Salamanca, in Spain. My educational experience, traveling expertise, analytical skills, multi-lingual abilities and cultural background make me well-suited to participate in anySpanish teaching program to train, cooperate and share experiences with tudents, parents and instructors.
Teaching Style
Based on the Multiple Intelligences theory developed by Howard Gardner, I believe that my teaching philosophy resumes in simplicity and effectiveness- keeping in mind that every student has an individual talent. I think that effective teaching requires high level of student involvement in “hands on” experiences. My role as an instructor is to facilitate learning and making learn a fun experience.
As a Foreign Language teacher, I design my Spanish lessons covering the five C’s established by the National Standards, giving emphasis to grammar in the language curriculum and making connections with other subjects and cultures. Basically, my syllabus consists in stressing communication skills in Spanish.
