Experience Summary
A former first-year, Annual Contract teacher for the Santa Rosa County School District (FL), I taught Intensive Reading and Language Arts at Woodlawn Beach Middle School in Gulf Breeze, FL. My 82 students all achieved in excess of one-years' AYP, as documented in their 2008-'09 FCAT Reading score reports.
Prior to teaching at Woodlawn Beach, I served as a substitute teacher for the prior school year.
I have completed the FL state Reading Endorsement and am fully certified to teach Journalism, Language Arts and Reading.
Teaching Style
I believe very strongly that all students are capable of learning, achieving their full potential and growing beyond the limits they may have artificially set for themselves.
I am a compassionate teacher who tailors my lesson plans to the individual needs of the students I work with. I have been most successful working with children who need a little extra guidance, patience and adaptable skills.
