Experience Summary
Most recently I have been tutoring college students in algebra and helping dyslexic students write reports and comprehend written material. I have taught and tutored all phases of a massage program, including anatomy, physiology and pathology. Teaching ESL to all ages throughout my life including people from Mexico, Japan and Thailand is also something I've enjoyed doing. I've homeschooled high school students in a huge variety of coursework, and taught health, math, English and physical education in two private schools.
Teaching Style
My students have said that I make them feel comfortable and intelligent. I prefer students from age 9 to 99, and love to find that place in them that brings out the learner in them. I'm not a hard task master, yet in my casual approach is an eagerness to help my students learn that is infectious. I truly love to teach and I know it shows.
