Experience Summary
I received my BSEE from the UF and my MBA from FIU. There was a lot of mathematics, Physics with Calculus and Chemistry involved. My college job was teaching Calculus. After my MBA, I went to work in the Finance department. This gave me a detailed understanding of how the accounting and finance departments were setup in a large company. With this knowledge I was able to help in the startup of several companies. Customizing the chart of accounts for a new company, can be challenging and fun. You start with the basic accounts you know you will need and leave enough room to add sub accounts. A retail company is very different from a services company is very different from a construction company.
Teaching Style
I use a style of teaching for people who do not like the subject but know they need it. I show through practical examples how to get through the formulas to get through the test while making sure a detailed understanding of the concepts are being grasped. I would try to put each problem into an example they could relate to. In every case, there is something that student is passionate about, it was my job to find out what that something was and relate the problem to something they were comfortable with.
