Experience Summary
My live for the written word resulted in my acquiring a dual major in both Literature and Creative writing. I have entered the field of education so that I may share this passion with others. For the past eight years I have been working in a Montessori school, first in the early childhood classroom, and now in the elementary classroom, resulting in my having seen children run the gamut of primary education.
Teaching Style
I am an energetic educator and learner. The best way to teach a student is to provide them with the tools they need to discover the information for themselves. A teacher does no good if they simply feed the student the desired information. When we provide the student with the means of discovery, then what they find, they own. Having worked with children of varying ages, I am adept at problem solving and managing conflict, and I have an abundance of patience. Children are eager to learn, and teachers are there to harness that eagerness.
