Experience Summary
In the past four years, as a substitute teacher, I have instructed a wide variety of grade levels and subjects, including non-core subjects. I have also, monitored progress of assignments, while keeping students on task, and provided valuable feedback during instruction. I spent a month as a long-term substitute teacher for a K-6 science teacher and worked a long-term position as a district ACCESS for ELL tester for Kenosha Unified.
Teaching Style
As a teacher, I feel that my mastery of content and skills help students to not only learn to the best of their ability, but learn through a variety of learning styles. I help students become motivated and interested in all topics I bring to the classroom, which gives each of them an opportunity to contribute and participate throughout each lesson. My ability to differentiate and modify lessons to reach each child is another strong point in my teaching. I feel that everyone can learn, and with modifications where needed, all will succeed in the classroom. Finally, through collaboration with fellow staff and with the resource available, I can find a way to help all students when they need extra help.
