Experience Summary
I have a very broad experience in the fields of chemistry and physics. This was attained during my work experience within the Pharmaceutical industry. This has enabled me to gain an intimate knowledge of research methodology, logical approach to problem solving, mathematical relationships, and writing skills as evident in publications and patents. In my early years I have tutored students from High School to University in Calculus, Chemistry, Physics and general earth science and biology.
Teaching Style
I recalled my difficulties in learning difficult subjects, my difficulties are not universal but I draw from them in finding what is blocking the student from grasping certain concepts. I recall teaching my children at a very early age the concept of ratios. I used windows, tiles from the kitchen, a pizza pie etc. This, before going to pencil and paper and it worked. Till this day they know fractions inside and out because they understood the concept in real life. This is typically my approach, then we can go and do problems in the abstract on paper.
