Experience Summary
As a classically trained musician with a BA in theory and composition, and a Masters in conducting, I have a high degree of diverse expertise to offer all learning levels. My work background is in music performance with an emphasis on coaching and mentoring individuals and ensembles, and I am highly experienced in getting real world results.
Because they have heightened sensitivities to subtle artistic nuances, musicians are often hardest on themselves and find it difficult to achieve their best without a supportive teacher. I have helped students of all ages discover and focus on their hidden pearls of talent within, thereby instilling personal confidence in their innate abilities and learned skills.
Teaching Style
I love mentoring and working with musicians of all ages. I believe all people can grow musically, but each in different ways. My encouraging attitude can help students achieve musical and academic success. I am patient, easy going, considerate and sensitive to the artistic temperament. My goal is to provide the best education possible at whatever level desired. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a constructive approach to learning. I believe all students can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. A few good educators can make a world of difference in a child's education, and I strive to make that difference happen in all of my students' lives.
