Teaching Style
Prior to playing professionally and continuing since then I have enjoyed teaching students as young as 4 students on through college reach their musical goals. I believe that music is music whether it be a Beethoven sonata, or a Bill Evans jazz transcription the same beauty, technique and drive for success is necessary for both.
(Beginners) Method book, solfege singing, listening
(Intermediate) music theory, simple classical literature (cleminti, Chopin nocturne (Eb)), some use of contemporary music
Advanced students continue in more difficult classical pieces (Bach inventions/preludes/fugues), students at this level may also begin to study jazz and/or forms of contemporary music if they so desire.
