Experience Summary
As a summa cum laude college graduate and a future medical school student starting in August, I have always strived for perfection during my college education. Receiving a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry, I have a very strong knowledge base in these sciences. However, due to the variety of classes required for admission to medical school, I have a strong foundation in subject matter such as physics and verbal reasoning, as well as writing skills, which are applicable to all classes. During the last 2 years I have tutored students in subjects such as cell biology, genetics, immunology, anatomy and physiology, general and organic chemistry, and physics.
Teaching Style
I thoroughly enjoy teaching others. Seeing a student have that “aha” moment when they finally understand a concept gives me a great feeling of accomplishment. I always try to cater to each student based upon their previous educational experiences, but no matter what, I have found that students typically learn best when using practical examples where they can see a concept in action. I am a very responsible and patient person who works hard so that my students can do their best.
