Experience Summary
With the experiences of an MBA in the corporate world, along with a BA in piano performance and music education, I have had the great fortune of combining both in the teaching community. As a substitute teacher, working with pre-K through high school students, I constantly draw on my diverse expertise and apply real life situations to my students. Corporate and music experiences have taught me to be an excellent team player while cultivating the curiosity and strengths each student. An added bonus was the period when I home schooled my son who had learning differences. This was an opportunity to develop unique ways of imparting the curriculum while at the same time being creative to pique his interest levels.
Teaching Style
My style of teaching incorporates every type of learning style, whether oral, kinesthetics, etc. I absolutely believe that every student, no matter how they learn, has the ability to achieve their dreams given the discovery of passion and becoming excited about learning. No two students are alike, so having the opportunity to assist in the exploration process of how to help each student succeed is what I strive to achieve every day. I believe I can make a difference in helping your child become eager to become a stronger student who actually looks forward to daily challenges.
