Experience Summary
As a recipient of an Associates Degree Summa Cum Laude; I have and more importantly my students have experienced success within and outside of the classroom. Twenty-one out of twenty-four 4th graders under my tutelage increased MAP scores by over 20 points on average when the objective was just for 8 points. My proficiency in instructing in reading, writing, English Language Arts, and comprehension led to me being entrusted with conducting an enrichment program at my school over 1,300 students that led to me receiving 2 awards of Excellence of Service Award and Paraprofessional of the Month. My PLT scores were in the top 15% with 190 out of 200 that led to a Recognition of Excellence Certificate indicating this proficiency.
Teaching Style
The type of instructor I am working to become and remain does not view teaching as a job but, views teaching as an ongoing mission. My job will be to ensure that all students learn and not just to teach. The knowledge conveyed will become applicable philosophies and skills in the lives of my students that can shape their towns, communities, and even possibly the world. To accomplish this I will provide my students with engaging, meaningful activities, high expectations, and develop productive relationships with my students to become the interpersonal instructor I strive to be. All of these aforementioned goals will be achieved through integration of technology, arts, and events that involve students in the community.
