Experience Summary
I hold a B.A. in English, cum laude, from John Brown University, with a concentration in Composition and Rhetoric and a minor in Business Administration. For the last three years, I have worked as a copyeditor/proofreader for a large ad agency in Dallas, TX. Before that, I worked as a writing consultant in my university's writing center throughout college, helping students write better papers through support every step of the way--from brainstorming topics to the final proofread before turning the paper in.
Teaching Style
I am passionate about language and writing and believe that everyone could be an excellent reader and writer if they learn a few basic skills. I have the ability to meet students where they are at in the learning process and communicate the subject matter in a direct way that enables them to understand the root of what I am teaching. I am also gentle and patient, as I have taught preschool Sunday school at my church for the last three years.
