Experience Summary
In 1981 I received a double-bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Texas A&M Commerce. I tutored Math, basic skills through calculus I, and Computer Science for two years while attending the University. I have also tutored all middle-school subjects, especially reading and math, at Trinity River Mission tutoring facility in Dallas from 1991-1996. I feel capable of tutoring most high-school subjects including Algebra-Calculus, History, Politics and Science. I would be able to tutor beginning Calculus and/or Chemistry, but not without a little review. I have a very, very small Spanish language capability. I'm eager and ready to get started!
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. I am a firm believer in teaching through discovery and in providing a constructive approach to learning. I try to build a child's self-esteem by showing the child that they know more than they think they know.
