Experience Summary
I graduated with a Bachelors in studio art and I minored in art history. My undergrad was mainly spent inside the studiosin front of a canvas. I went on to complete my Masters in contemporary art from the Sothebys Institute in NYC. I've taught pre-school, but have experience with kids of all ages. My passions are teaching and art. Though I live in Wyoming right now and work at an art gallery, I'd be willing to relocate given the right job opportunity. When I was in college, I spent my time out of school tutoring an autistic student at the local elementary school. My greatest joy was seeing her excel in her creativity with the art lesson I conducted for her.
Teaching Style
I believe that too much direction, especially with art, can hinder an individual's imagination and original expression. I believe in giving the proper tools and motivation, as well as constructive criticism in order for a student to thrive in a subject and grow as a human being..
