Experience Summary
I have seven years of experience teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students in public and private school, daycare, facility,and home bound settings. I have worked with students from one year old to 12th grade. I have worked with students with learning disablities, behavior and emotional problems, ADHD, functional & developmentally delayed and regular education students. I have taught students core subjects, life skills, and GED. I have tutored students in test prep skills, language arts, and mathematics.
Teaching Style
When I teach I use differentiated instruction, peer tutoring, and scaffolding. I also incorporate technology and manipulatives into the curriculum. I teach developmentally appreciated material,(learning level & style). I consider all of my students diversity when I teach each object.I stess literacy in all of the classes. I believe every learner is special and can learn with the proper instruction and motivation.
