Experience Summary
I have had about a year of teaching experience at the university level where I taught upper division organic chemistry to pre-professional school students at UC Davis. The class size ranged from 100 to 300 students. I have also taught much smaller size classrooms ranging between 10-30 student at Sierra City College.
I am an organic chemist with a Ph.D degree from UC Davis and I also have post-doctoral experience from UC Berkeley. So I am well versed with Organic Chemistry. I have also taught general chemistry but my experties is organic chemistry.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is quite simple. I prefer an active learning style of teaching where students are actively involved in the lessons. I tend to ask them a lot of questions and at the same time I would guide them to the answers rather than just giving the answers. That way they have a "know how" approach to problem solving.
