Experience Summary
I have been tutoring for at least 15 years, taught high school physics for three years and college physics for one year. During my time as a tutor, I worked with at least fifty students, many of whom set weekly or more frequent appointments with me. My tutoring was mainly in HS math and physics, but I have also worked with a number of college students and students returning to professional training programs like nursing school.
Teaching Style
First an foremost, I am a responsive teacher who checks for understanding frequently and modifies my approach according to student needs and learning style. I am a thorough teacher who focuses on breaking down important concepts for students. I also find it useful and effective to establish a good working relationship with the students I teach or tutor.
