Experience Summary
I am employed with Hillsborough County Schools but have taken a medical leave to help with my father who has cancer through the Summer. I am listed as a Highly Qualified Teacher. I have been teaching for the past thirteen years and have been in the field of ESE for ten years. I have experience working with children who have a wide variety of disabilities such as Autism, Emotional Handicapped, Educable and Trainable Mentally Handicapped. It is my desire and passion to work with children in need of extra time and nurturing to help them have success in school and build their self-esteem by showing them that they can learn, they can do it!
Teaching Style
I believe that every child is unique in how they learn and grow. I believe that in order to do my best in educating our children then I must continue to educate myself. Our world is a fast and changing world. The children that we touch every day depend on us to guide them in the right direction. I believe the way to reach these children is to provide a nurturing and positive environment. It is of utmost importance not only to work with the children but to facilitate learning and cooperation with parents, school staff, and the community. By working together I believe we can find the right supports for every child’s needs. It is my goal to provide an atmosphere in which children can learn and achieve to their maximum potential.
