Experience Summary
I am a recent graduate from Nevada State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a TESL endorsement. Through my time in college, I have completed various volunteer work within the Clark County School District as well as my student teaching. I am known for my attention to detail in reading and writing. I have worked as the vice president of my college's newspaper and have been nominated and have won awards in Journalism, Poetry and Short Stories. My degree is for elementary but I am also interested in working with older students as well as long as it's not college mathematics.
Teaching Style
When it comes to my teaching style, I prefer to meet a student and take the first meetings to really get to know them, their learning styles and find out what goals we need to realistically set. After I have a goal in place I then like to work backwards and fill in the blanks of how we are going to achieve our goals. I have been known for my patience and creativity with my students. My goal is to make sure that my students know more then just the answer but be able to explain it as well. I am here to make a difference in all my students and their education and I wouldn't have it any other way.
