Experience Summary
Having received my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from San Diego State University, I have been very much interested and enthusiastic about working with students who have deficiencies in writing and reading. Since 2005, I have worked as a tutor of writing, reading and grammar as well as an instructor in the areas of literature and composition. I also have extensive experience working with students who have physical and learning disabilities.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with students. I feel that there is a way to educate and student, no mare how severe his/her problems, so long as I, the tutor, am willing to adjust my teaching style to his/her personality and/or learning problem. All struggling students can fulfill their educational goals so long as they are willing to put for the effort required and I as their tutor am there to guide them. Seeing this transition occur, from struggling to confident, in my previous experience has made teaching extremely fulfilling.
