Experience Summary
I am a CPA with 11 years experience in Public Accounting and another 15 years experience in various accounting positions before I decided to go back to college and get a degree. As a young adult I was insired by another CPA. She was a great mentor to me and inspired me to get my degree and pass the CPA exam. I hope that my involvement with young adults will inspire and challenge others to accomplish the impossible!!
Teaching Style
I love to teach and share knowledge with others. While I have never formally been a tutor before, I have been a mentor, coach and teacher within the various organizations where I have worked and have always been known as the person to go to with questions because I will always take the time to explain things in a way that makes them easy to grasp. I am down to earth and easy to talk to. I love children, and young adults and their passion for living and learning and I love to find interesting ways to explain complex theories and problems. I know that each person learns differently and I strive to find which methods work best. I am patient yet believe in challenging students to keep their interest and build self-esteem.
