Experience Summary
I graduated 94/921 from Broken Arrow HS in 1994 and tutored as part of my affiliation with extra-curricular groups. I finished 1st, 2nd & 5th at three separate area high-school accounting competitions. I was included on the President’s Honor Roll (4.0 GPA) 5 times while attending Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, and was awarded several scholarships based on academic performance. I also participated in tutoring of both fellow college students as well as area grade school students as part of the extra-curricular activity groups in which I was involved. I have worked in the Accounting industry for 10 years and I have 4 children of my own which I tutor on a regular basis.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is primarily includes me working right along side the student at all times. I like to provide real world examples whenever possible, and firmly believe in using those examples to help the student understand the bigger picture of what they are learning. In other words, I don’t want to simply teach the student how to do the lesson but also why. I want them to understand the ultimate goal of what they are learning and the underlying reason as I believe this facilitates long-term retention of the material.
