Experience Summary
I gained my tutoring experience working the Wilmer Writing Center at Lynchburg College while I was a student there. I worked with undergraduate and graduate students, as well as professors, to edit their papers; these papers covered all subject areas from English to Science to Teaching. I also tutored students in English specifically while working at the writing center. I helped to improve students grades significantly while also teaching them at the same time. I earned a BA in Marketing and so I am well versed in business as well as English Literature and Writing. I also completed a thesis in the area of English Literature.
Teaching Style
I love tutoring and working with students to help them reach their highest potential. It is very rewarding when I know that I have taught a student something new or helped them to acheive better grades in a subject they are struggling with. I like to work with students as opposed to just editing papers for them because I believe that this is when they can learn the most! I love English and writing and can definitely share that love with those who may not be as into the subject and can motivate them to succeed!
