Experience Summary
I have my bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in two dimensional art. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA out of 4.O and had high honors in Phi Theta Kappa Iota Omicron Chapter as well as being a member of the Dean's list, EXCELlerated program, and a member of the psychology club.
I conducted independent research on the study and development of children's drawings with a psychology professor named Dr. Morton Heller who has published cognitive research on this subjuct. I also received the design merit award for EIU 2006 and 2008, and have had four art shows. Some of my related Art courses are 2-D, 3-D, Life Drawing, Life Drawing and Advanced Life Drawing, Painting levels one through five, Graphic Design, and several Art History classes.
Teaching Style
I'm a strong believer in education and that your attitude will determine your success in all your endeavors, and wish to pass this passion along to others. I love teaching and making a difference in people's lives everyday. I was a tutor during high school in my free time for kids in middle school grades 6-8, a tutor for kids in alternative school, and I also tutored one math student in college. I am currently studying for the Graduate School record examination (GRE), and feel that I am on top of all of my subjects such as writing, reading, and math. Tutoring anyone of any age will only help me build stronger skills for taking my GRE while helping someone ace their classes, so I'm very excited about this opportunity!
