Experience Summary
I graduated from Hampton University with a BS in Molecular Biology and my love for science pushed me to pursue a MS in Medical Science. I have tutored at Hampton University in the areas of Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Science, and General Biology. I have also taught at Thomas Nelson Community College in The Biological Sciences. I have been teaching sixth grade science for the last two years. My students have the highest scores in the school. Three out of four of my classes have at least a 92% pass rate for the city's benchmark test.
Teaching Style
I love working one on one with students. I enjoy relating science to real day events and showing students how to think out of the box. I teach using neumonics, songs and repetition. I believe that science is one of the most important subjects because it teaches you how the world around you works. Most people believe that teachers chose the wrong profession and I think that society chose the wrong heros.
