Experience Summary
I have 15 years in the teaching field as well as in the tutoring field. I have taught grades 3,4,5,and 6th grade Math and have tutored in all of these subjects. I believe that each student has the ability to learn if he/she is put in the right and challenging environment whether that be above or below average. I also have a belief that a student should be rewarded for good behavior instead of being reprimanded for bad behavior. The patience is required by the tutor but the rewards that are accomplished are something that cannot be replaced by any profession.
Teaching Style
I believe in the theory of rewarding good behavior while also making the students aware of their misbehavior. By rewarding good behavior allows other students to see the benefits and being consistent with this theory is important for any student to
see the consequences of both good and poor behavior. I make learning fun while at the same time interesting for the student.
This teaching style has been very rewarding to the student as
well as to myself. I like the students to see me as their friend nnot only their teacher.
