Experience Summary
I am an attorney who has extensive experience working with students at various levels where I have thrived at helping students realize their goals. I am now pursuing my Masters Degree in order to be a teacher. As an attorney, I taught a civics class to middle school students and prepared them for a mock trial. As an undergraduate, I tutored an elementary age student, took course work in education, and was a teaching assistant in a high school class. As an Ivy League graduate, I value the importance of a strong education and know the level of diligence it takes to succeed. The skills I have as an attorney translate well to teaching reading, writing, history, and study skills in general.
Teaching Style
My enthusiasm and love of teaching helps students enjoy learning and attain educational success. I enjoy my students’ excitement when they reach their goals. As a tutor, I am keenly aware of the different teaching styles required for each student. My goal is to establish a strong rapport with the student in order to determine which style is best suited for that particular student. I believe in the power of preparation and organization. These skills are important for any student to learn. I also am a strong proponent of writing many drafts of papers in order to achieve the best possible result. I also believe that practice makes perfect and taking the time to take practice tests under test-like conditions is the best way to prepare.
