Experience Summary
Having grown up with tremendous support, I have been able to pursue my career in art and art education with focus and determination. After receiving my Bachelor's degree in Painting from the University of Florida, I found my way into the Duval County Public School System. Though my position was surplussed only two years later, I was able the witness the great need for an art outlet in children. I focused my attention towards the city parks and recreation system, where I have been teaching home school, after school, and adult art lessons since 2007.
Teaching Style
Patience is, without a doubt, my biggest virtue. Taking art lessons can be intimidating, especially for an unsure student. With my experience, I have been able to identify the measures to instruct my students while keeping them comfortable in a positive environment. My goal for every lesson is to have my students leave confident and with a sense of understanding and resolution.
