Experience Summary
As a Strayer University graduate, I was determined to achieve the goal I had set for my life in Accounting. I have to admit it was very challenging for me because I was returning to school, after being out for 30 years, so I could enhance my education It's better to complete your education when you're younger, so I encourage any child to do so. When I started school, my intention was to achieve an Associate degree, but after I obtained it, I decided to go for the Bachelor degree. I only tutored and mentored some of my peers at school. Some of them wanted to give up, but I encouraged them to continue. I had to research and write papers for all of my classes. I also completed all the Accounting classes required my degree.
Teaching Style
I love working with people whether they are adults or children. I have a desire for helping anyone achieve their goal for life. I know how important it is to assist others because I support disabled and special needs individuals, so I have to teach them how to be self sufficient, according to their level of understanding. I also realize how important it is to have patience when mentoring them. I know everyone is on a different level, so it might take longer for some to learn, compared to others. It's not where you start or how long it takes, it's just important to finish.
