Experience Summary
Most of my career has involved some level of teachng or training. I trained new volunteers during the Peace Corps, I taught rural Tunisian families how to use available resources to improve their lives, training natural education instructors and volunteers at the Wells Reserve, traqining and coordinating volunteers within my roles as Executive Director, completing all course requirements for my Maine Teacher Certification, obtaining Ed. Tech III, Highly Qualified status in Maine, and substitute teaching, and now in my role as Title I, Ed. Tech II at Valley View Community School in Farmington, NH where I work extensively with children with special needs.
Teaching Style
I believe that questions are more powerful teaching tools than simply delivering answers. I do not wish to teach my students WHAT to think; my goal is to help students learn HOW to think, and to develop a pssion for learning which extends well beyond their formal schooling.
