Experience Summary
I became a teacher while still a student. Another student of painting approached my easel, asking me to teach her what I knew. I understood then, I was to share my knowledge, I was destined to become a Teacher of art, as well as a Painter. Since that experience, I have taught in elementary school systems in Springfield Local School, in continuing education classes in Hudson, in the Massillon Museum, and in my own private sessions. I love to impart knowledge and find it very rewarding. I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study from Internationally known painters in New York City, where I lived for 12 years.
Teaching Style
The spark ignited in me as a young adult to work with children and adults, to help them gain skill and knowledge. I love to help a child or adult develop their potential as a skilled artist. It is exciting for me to see a person smile, as they recognize they can accomplish more than they ever thought they could. I work very carefully, adjusting my teaching to fit a student's current level of ability. I believe learning can be fun. Inside every person is a desire to better themselves. I feel honored when I have the opportunity and privilege to be that Instructor who reaches inside and brings out their hopes and dreams of success.
