Experience Summary
My educational and professional background (B.A., Masters, Doctorate of Law) supports my experience in teaching both young students and adults, tutoring at high schools and colleges, and private in-home instruction. Teaching English, History, Composition, Public Speaking, and Government and Politics, provided the opportunities to also use skills acquired practicing law.
As a public school teacher, law school tutor, and retired attorney, it is vital that my experience and communication expertise result in enthusiastic and successful learning.
Teaching Style
In working with any student, the key is to be genuine and enthusiastic. A large part of successful communication is a sense of humor (!) and a willingness to work hard. My strategy is to be confident in the subject matter, comfortable in the relationship with the student, and clear on the goals. The positive accomplishments result.
