Experience Summary
As a teacher who has nearly twenty years of experience working at a variety of school sites and with many different student populations, I can offer my experience and expertise in these fields. I have taught at the following types of schools-Renaissance, Title I, special needs centers, traditional public and private schools as well as Magnet and Charter schools. I am certified to teach the following subjects-Art K-12, Gifted endorsement K-12, and Exceptional Student Education, and have taught them all. I also have tutored students in individual and team settings. I also am currently working in Drop Out Prevention/Attendance Programs to keep students in school and successful.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is hands on, mutlidisciplinary, concrete, media and technology rich, cooperative, individualized, and team driven as well as catering to all or a combination of the learning styles of my students. I also make learning relevant and meaningful between subjects as well as in the real world using real world and realistic applications. I also teach Life Skills.
