Experience Summary
Over the past five years I have been building experience in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to upper high school. My experience with these learning environments has helped me an undergraduate certificate in k-12 education. I have put special focus on language development and language learning skills. These skills translate to teaching literacy, writing skills, reading comprehension skills, English language development, and foreign language learning. My interest in language development and education lead me to receive a B.A in Spanish.
Teaching Style
One of my favorite aspects of teaching is finding ways to integrate creativity into the learning process. I believe an active and animated learning environment is fun for both the student and tutor- there's no reason to stick to just the basics when generating lessons. Learning new concepts is a great way for students to explore their interests and see how they can relate to the lesson. I also believe positive and patient teaching leads to both genuine learning, and a comfortable experience for the student. Good attitudes always prevail and help achieve the goal of maintaining a fun and effective learning environment.
