Experience Summary
I hold a Master's Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a focus in Economics. I graduated from both programs with a GPA of 3.8 and in the top 5% of my class at both schools. My professional experience includes accounting, audit and finance work at two of the Big Four Accounting Firms in the world and two Fortune 500 Public Companies here in South Florida. My passion for teaching began at an early age when I became a mentor for students with difficulty reading. Since then, I have taught and tutored students in Reading, English grammar, English as a Second Language, Spanish, Mathematics, Accounting and Finance.
Teaching Style
I love teaching because I feel that every student is capable of learning. However, not every student learns in the same way. My greatest strength in tutoring is finding the way your student learns best and teaching them to use those tools to their advantage. I find that confidence is vital to academic success so I not only focus on the subject matter but also spend time building the student's confidence. I am extremely patient and have a sense of humor. Learning can be very boring for some students but it doesn't have to be. My goal is to engage the student and make learning the material fun.
