Experience Summary
I am a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a BS in Secondary Education and a concentration in History. Due to my concentration in History I was required to write several research papers and essays, allowing me to develop excellent grammatical skills. I completed my student teaching in an inner city middle school, giving me the chance to encounter a variety of personalities and learning styles. I have also tutored children of all ages with difficulties in reading and reading comprehension.
Teaching Style
I believe that a good education is the basis for achieving the goals set forth for oneself. A child with an understanding of general subjects will be given the tools needed to think critically and efficiently in order to solve problems encountered in every day life. I am a firm believer in the eight intelligences and always make an effort to incorporate the methods that best fit the individual child. I love working with children of all different ages. The road to an education is an amazing journey, and I for one, am elated to play a role in someone's experience.
