Experience Summary
My career spans 20 years and includes accounting, auditing, tax preparation, college level instruction, business ownership, and working in a variety of sizes and types of business organizations. I have alsways been involved in teaching and training, mentoring and coaching, and have held leadership roles in professional organizations. I am currently teaching at a community college and feel I am well qualified to tutor accounting, finance, and business students.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching young learners in hopes of getting them excited about the subject area of business. I have travelled extensively all over the world including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, India, and Singapore overseeing the accounting functions in company subsidiaries. I do not consider myself highly academic and find that one of my skills in teaching and training is to adjust to the student and work within their strengths and weaknesses. My top priority is to help students learn and to find ways that work best for them. I have taught face-to-face courses as well as on-line courses. In my teaching I strive for continuous improvement as well as flexibility in my instructional methods.
