Experience Summary
As a graduate of an elite Independent High School, I strived to be the best at every subject I pursued in college. I started my Bachelors of Music as a Music Education major, but changed to Music Business in my sophomore year. Both of my majors gave me the knowledge skills to understand many different areas of the arts. I also excelled in my English classes, where I learned great skills in grammar, research papers, and sentence structure. Over the last five years I have tutored students in Music and English.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with children of all ages. I feel that no two students are alike and it takes a compassionate and focused instructor to figure out the best way that a student will effectively learn. I am a very patient, kind, yet firm teacher, and I believe that gentle constructive criticism is the best way for any student to learn, regardless of their age. It is my personal goal that I am able to give my students the best instruction that is specifically geared towards their strengths. As a student, I was lucky to have caring teachers. I aspire to be an important force in my students' growth, as my teachers were for me.
