Experience Summary
I have completed my Bachelors and Masters degree in Accounting. At this time, I work with disabled clients to help facilitate their inclusion into the community. We are required to complete 17 hours of education each year relating to the laws and regulations for the services of the disabled as well as specifically for individual diagnosis. My experience in tutoring began in high school. I have experienced helping my own son during his school years while he is educated at home.
Teaching Style
My teaching style includes using the strengths of the interests of the child in teaching. To aid my child to read, I used his favorite card game (Yugioh) to aid him. I am hands on while teaching. I make sure that the learning is not boring. I will use card games to aid in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. I use a combination of words plus visuals to aid the learner. I will write down the formulas or work out a problem for the student so that the example can be followed on other problems. I use acronyms for teaching as well. I also use these aids to help with memorization of facts.
