Experience Summary
After graduation in 1979, I decided to continue my studies and got units in MA Mathematics. Having earned 12 units, I worked as a college instructor, teaching subjects like college algebra, trigonometry, statistics and business mathematics from 1980 to 1990.
When my children started growing up I tutored all my four (4) kids from their kinder level to their collegiate level. From elementary mathematics to simple college statistics, algebra and other related math subjects.
Teaching Style
As a teacher I work well with my students, giving them the basic ideas that they need to learn to appreciate mathematics. As a mother of four, I provided them the idea that mathematics is really an enjoyable subject.With much patience and compassion, I was able to impart to them that learning is fun. I give them lots of examples to solve, then I explain to them the step by step computation. In the end, I would give them the short-cut method in arriving at the correct solution but always reminding them that written solutions are very important.
