Experience Summary
As a non-traditional student, I was able to gain a unique educational experience. I started off earning multiple degrees at a community college, then transferred to Temple to study Actuarial Science. The training I received while preparing for actuarial exams taught me how to think about and solve problems so thoroughly that I was able to teach any subject I learned. I have tutored many subjects ranging from elementary mathematics to graduate-level statistics. Over the last ten years, I have become very proficient at tutoring, so much so that I am now able to tutor 4-5 subjects simultaneously.
Teaching Style
As you can tell, from all of my degrees, I value education. It is a passion of mine to help explain complex subject matter to students that don't find the subject matter easy. I have found that strong students are very easy to teach. If you give them a problem, they will just work at it until they learn it. Weaker students aren't always weak, sometimes, they may just be different kinds of learners. I think everyone deserves to have access to quality education because a more educated society is a more productive society.
