Experience Summary
Presently, I am a student at Walden University working towards obtaining a Ph.D. in Psychology. Since I had earned my BA’s in Psychology and Accounting, MA in Community Counseling, I firmly believe in the institution of learning. I have a diverse spectrum of knowledge from these disciplines. I had volunteered time at Indian River giving psychological assessments to the youths that were incarcerated. Additional volunteer time was as a Guardian Ad Litem with Stark County Family Court and a volunteer in the Witness Protection Program with the County Prosecutors office.
The teaching I am doing now is being an assistant instructor at a local dance studio.
Teaching Style
I love working with children. Every child has their way of learning, and it just takes patience to find out how they process information. I am very patient, considerate, and positive that everyone can learn. I am a visual learner myself, and find that utilizing visual cues helps others with engraining information as well. I know the feeling of finally understanding a difficult concept, and I wish to help a child get that same feeling. It may take us some time, but together we can work towards obtaining that goal.
