Experience Summary
I graduated from the University of South Carolina's Moore School of Business with a degree in business administration. I majored in International Business and Finance, with a minor in French. One must be accepted into our University, further accepted into the Moore School of Business, and even further accepted into the highly competitive International Business Program (the #1 International Business Program in the US). I am also fluent in Spanish. I performed exceedingly well in all subjects but far excelled in Mathematics and Languages. I have volunteered as a tutor in Math (Arithmetic to Pre-Calc) since high school (9 years in total). I have also tutored many students in grammar and writing, in both English and Spanish.
Teaching Style
Teaching and tutoring has always been a passion of mine. I have always believed that every person is capable of understanding and learning, provided the right teaching method is used. I am patient and take the time to teach my students the subject at hand--mostly using logic and analogies as examples. I usually quiz them as I teach, always assuring they understand and not moving forward until everything is well understood. When one method doesn't work, I try another method. I don't ever give up on my students. I know they can learn. It's just a matter of how, finding the right method, and applying it.
