Experience Summary
While I was attending college, I was a tutor for the following classes: Accounting, Finance, and Algebra. I am an excellent student and have a full knowledge of accounting and math that can be applied in the classroom as well as a "real world" experience. In addition to supervising and training other employees within my employers accounting department, I have also had the privilege of being in charge of staffing an intern who complimented me frequently on my competence and ability to instruct in a professional manner that was easily understood and easy to follow. As a result, she often commented on how she better understood the importance of Accountants in today's work force. It was quite a rewarding experience for both of us.
Teaching Style
I prefer one on one settings for teaching, but I have no problem standing in front of people. I use my work experience to apply what the student has learned in the classroom and instruct them how the subject is applied in today's work force. I am able to give instructions and address feedback when applicable. Although I have not taught in a formal classroom, I have held numerous professional meetings in the past for previous employers. I have always received compliments as to how approachable I am and how helpful and competent I am regarding the subject at hand. I feel that I am fully capable of instructing the students as well as able to provide a vibrant personality that will keep the students interested in the subject.
