Experience Summary
I have 1 1/2 year's teaching business courses to high school students. After that time, I obtained a job as an administrative assistant for five years, then became a Marketing Support Representative for various computer companies where I taught courses on how to manage computer systems, technical courses on software packages and supported the accounts in the field. After receiving my Master of Education in Instructional Technology, I have been designing and developing instruction for instructor-led training and web-based training courses. I discovered that I have a natural talent for grammatical skills which I truly enjoy.
Teaching Style
I begin with making certain that I know my subject matter. Then I get to know the students, treating them as adults yet having fun with them. Each audience is different, and I've learned to address the needs of that particular audience either as a group or individually. I've learned that I have a natural talent in maintaining an excellent rapport with students. I encourage them to make mistakes to help them learn, and they know I care about how they are progressing. I am kind and patient with each student and truly enjoy working with them. I have great memories of my grade school and high school teachers and continue to remember who they are and what they taught me due to their dedication and inspiration.
