Experience Summary
I have previously worked as a shift supervisor at Starbucks, which has given me experience training, coaching, and delegating duties to other employees. This position has in turn helped me to understand different methods of coaching others, as it applies to varying degrees of learning styles. I also am currently working as a swim instructor at Blackhawk College, which also gives me practice and experience in teaching students of varying age groups and levels and also provides me with an opportunity to learn more about how to interact with students. In addition, I work as a substitute teacher, which in turn helps me to also learn varying degrees of learning and delegation styles.
Teaching Style
I enjoy working with students and co-workers on all levels, whether they have little or no experience. I know when to recognize different styles in learning and methods I can use to accomodate each different style. I am also very patient and willing to put extra effort in with students that might have trouble learning the material presented.
