Experience Summary
As an Ivy League graduate, I pursued what I felt would lead me to a fullfilling career in Finance. After a few years I was lead to do what I loved and had a passion for, to teach, educate, empower and support children and families. I later started my own-non profit to educate underprivileged youth. My skills and proven ability to work with children and families have allowed me to develop and grow in many arenas to further advance the purpose of education. During the last three years I have tutored in math and english. I taught third grade reading for two years.
Teaching Style
I am a firm believer that all children are capable of learning they just learn in different ways. My approach for teaching is more student-centered approach. I believe that if you do not understand the students learning style, you will not be successful in motivating learning. I have a high tolerance for children and adapting to them to help them understand the importance of reaching their goals in education. Every child/student should discover their potential in a safe environment for a positive learning experience. I strive to make a change in each life I touch.
