Experience Summary
I will graduate from the University of Florida in April 2010 with a BA in Biology, which required me to take up to Calculus 1 as well as Analytical Chemistry and Physiology classes. I have excelled in courses requiring numerical analysis and have experience teaching and tutoring, both in academics and athletics. Over the past 7 years, I have tutored peers in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Biology, Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, and have given horseback riding lessons.
Teaching Style
Because I learn best from application and hands-on problem solving, I incorporate games, diagrams, metaphors and stories into my teaching. I am patient, fun, and organized. I enjoy leading an individual to discover not only the answer, but also the method to solve similar problems. I believe study skills and time management are the keys to academic success and strive to help my students develop habits that will carry them through the future.
